Situated in the Indian Ocean, with
a large part of the country sitting straight across the equator, the Maldives
is largely regarded as the last remaining paradise in the world today.
The archipelago contains over
1000 islands, each island like an individual emerald set in deep blue
satin. The lush tropical vegetation on the islands, with sandy white beaches
of soft white coral sand and surrounding lagoons of crystal blue water,
make for the ultimate holiday destination.
Only 200 of the over 1000 islands
are inhabited, less than 100 have been developed as tourist resorts and
the rest remain like nature intended them to be - untouched and undisturbed
by human development.
To explore the Maldives, stay
in one of the resorts where all modern day amenities are available. Luxurious
rooms, elegant restaurants, the best of international cuisine, scuba diving
facilities, watersports --- everything that you wish for in a tropical
holiday are readily available.
If not a resort, choose a sailing
safari or a diving safari. The diving safaris would let you explore the
islands, both inhabited and uninhabited of the Maldivian archipelago.
It would take you across to some of the beautiful and unexplored regions
of the country while you stay on board the luxury yachts with every modern
comfort that you would need.
The diving safaris for the scuba
diving lovers who, in the Maldives, would encounter some of the best dive
sites in the world today. The underwater life is rich, with thousands
of fish species and coral gardens with a myriad of colour and marine life.
Lif-sham can arrange for you
to enjoy Maldives either way you choose - on land, by sea or underwater.
