Located on the southern rim of Ari Atoll is the largest resort in the Maldives, Sun Island Resort on the island of Nala Guraidhoo. On it are five other islands and a row of islets and sandbanks, ideal for island hopping.

You may get to Sun Island Resort from the airport either by sea or air. The seaplane takes just 30 minutes, cutting over part of South Male’ Atoll before heading straight to your destination. The flight provides an excellent view of the reefs and islands. By speedboat you will sail round Male’ the capital before heading southwest to Sun Island. Watching the islands pass by one after the other and the flying fish leap out from under the boat you wouldn’t realise that two and a half hours have passed, when you’ve reach your destination.
